Forget carpool karaoke — James Corden is taking music to the streets in a whole new way.
In a bit that aired on Tuesday night, The Late Late Show host and his theater company performed musical numbers from Grease — at the intersection of Beverly Blvd. and Genesee Ave.
The crosswalk-set numbers included “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’ ” and “We Go Together,” each of which were met with more honks than applause.

But the production had its obstacles, like locating key wardrobe pieces — “I can’t go on without my f—ing jacket, guys!” shouted Corden, who was starring as Danny Zuko — and performing the deadly task of being “stage left” when actually on the wrong side of the street. However, it turns out the best vocal warm-up is repeating the name “Benedict Cumberbatch.”
