Luke Cage actor releases details on upcoming Netflix show

Marvel's Jessica Jones hasn't even premiered on Netflix yet, but people are already asking questions about another character: Luke Cage. In an interview with ComicBook.com to promote the aforementioned series, actor Mike Colter dropped some new information about when his character's own show would take place and what he's up to post-Jessica Jones.

"Luke Cage will take place a few months after Jessica Jones. So in real time, if you watch Jessica Jones, you'll find [at the end] Luke Cage uptown in Harlem, working, trying to make ends meet," Colter said, adding that the show will have a different feel from Netflix's Daredevil and Jessica Jones, which both take place in Hell's Kitchen.

He added that Cage doesn't know what he's doing with his life, and, as a fugitive running around "with a few skeletons in his closet," is taking the time to figure out what's next.

Although he would rather fly under the radar and be left alone to his own devices, Colter added, Cage does eventually stand up for what he believes in and what he knows he must do.

"Sometimes we just sit around, and sit on our hands and don't do anything because it's like 'hey, that's not my problem," he said. "You can't do that when you're a superhero. You have these gifts, now use them."

The Luke Cage series is currently in the development process. Netflix will release the entire first season of Jessica Jones on Nov. 20.
